Building Genuine Connection for LGBTQ+ Colleagues
Thursday 19th February @ 1pm
Human connection is the engine of great teamwork. But it only works when everyone feels safe enough to show up as themselves.
That’s why, as part of LGBTQ+ History Month, this session creates a safe space to build a deeper understanding of the context and experiences of LGBTQ+ colleagues at work.
We’ll explore why LGBTQ+ inclusion is a critical foundation for trust, psychological safety, and high-performing teams. We’ll look at how history, culture, language, assumptions, and leadership behaviours shape how safe (or unsafe) work can feel – and how today’s social and political climate may be impacting LGBTQ+ colleagues in ways that aren’t always visible.
You’ll leave with:
- The historical and cultural context of the LGBTQ+ community – and why it still matters
- How today’s political climate may impact LGBTQ+ colleagues’ safety and engagement
- Practical takeaways that will ensure all colleangues feel seen, heard, valued and trusted
We’re delighted to be joined by special guest, Drew Dalton, founder of ReportOut.

Drew brings over two decades of experience supporting organisations to better understand LGBTQ+ history, culture, and lived experience, and translating that understanding into meaningful workplace change.
Through ReportOut, Drew has worked with global organisations to help leaders move beyond surface-level inclusion towards cultures where LGBTQ+ people can thrive. Drew is known for combining deep expertise with practical insight into how wider social and political contexts show up inside teams and organisations.
He’s also an amazing human.
This webinar is for leaders, managers, HR and DEI professionals, and anyone who wants to build workplaces rooted in genuine human connection.
Because when people feel safe to be themselves, connection strengthens, and everyone benefits.
